The International Mission Board's (IMB) vision is to see people from every language, people, tribe, and nation knowing and worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ (Rev. 7:9). Southern Baptist churches across the world have partnered together to send missionaries to people groups around the world who don't know or have never heard of Jesus. These missionaries rely on the support of churches to be able to stay overseas working and serving among the local people.

 

Through the IMB there are currently 3,673 missionaries currently engaged in reaching 847 people groups. 77,605 people overseas have become new believers and 13,898 churches have been formed to help them grow. However, there are still 7,089 unreached people groups waiting to hear the gospel of Jesus. There are missionaries waiting to be sent to these places if only the funds were available.
